Cloudy dark brown colour. Aroma and flavour have hints of bay leaf and liquorice. Strange.

Keg @ Beatnikz Republic Bar, Manchester. Near black with a small off-white head. It's fairly gritty through a strength in its dark maltiness with a more dominant rye, which provides some spice.

Keg at the Beatnikz taproom, Manchester, 03/10/19. Light black with a decent beige head. Nose is pine needle, dark malts, mellow roast, dried berry fruits. Taste comprises balanced roast, pine needle, ashen tones, toffee, light cocoa sprinkle, red berry dusting. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close dusted with earthy hop bitterness. Solid on point CDA.

Keg at the brewery tap Manchester. A nutty brown coloured pour with a frothy creamy tan head. Aroma is bug piney hop, toasted brown bread, rye, light ashy. Flavour is composed of ashy roast, piney hop,, singed pine needles.. Palate is semi sweet, frorhy creamy. Good solid.
