Second time around for this unashamedly classic-style, old-school, strong English bitter. It was popular last time, so here it is again!

Cask ale at Wenlock Arms. Half-pint shared with Finn. Off-white head over a next-to-clear copper coloured body, spotty lacing. Caramel nose with a sourish hint. Caramel-fruity flavours with a strange off-taste. Ends dry, still with an off-taste to it. Not in its best condition. (Hoxton, London, 28.09.2023).

19/6/2021. Bottle shared with Dan & ITFCfan at the Euro's beer share. From Wine Boutique, Felixstowe. Pours clear amber bronze with a small frothy white head. Aroma of toffee, sweet malt, fruit, pine, peachy earthy notes. Moderate sweetness, medium plus bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Bitterness carried on developing, nicely done.
