Replicante is our first foray into the “dark side”: A Russian Imperial Stout, powerful and dense. Its journey from nose to mouth and aftertaste is a continuous development of cocoa, coffee and mocha, designed with roasted malts and dark caramels. With a moderate roast and just bitterness to balance, with a touch of rye to give it complexity, we have left the malt to express itself in a pure way, without added cocoa or coffee.

Bottle courtesy of the owner of Restaurante Basanjua, Vitoria- Gasteiz, Basque Country, consumed sat at the Brittany Port, Bilbao, Monday 9th July 2018 Pours black with a slim beige head. A little liquorice shows straight away, sweet and quite rich, some bonfire toffee, quiet thick in the mouth. Good. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Botella 33 cl en el Kraken tomada 20-10-2017 (r08). Loteb L140N Fcpref 01-2017 Color negro intenso con espuma beige. Sabores maltosos alicorados con buena sensacion alcoholica desde el principio, Ligeros caramelos, cacaos y torrefactos. Cuerpo medio con 10 vol que se dejan notar desde el principio. Buena, para repetir.

Black color, no head. Aroma has notes of black ripe fruit, roasted malts, coffee beans. Flavor is slightly sweet, roasty, toasty, hints of coconut, molasses. No alcoholic presence that is hidden by roasted and coffee beans notes, slightly licorice. Dense and creamy mouthfeel.
