Keg at Head of Steam, Leicester. Amber/brown, cloudy as a Manchester autumn with a tight beige head. Malty aroma with a touch of the resinous intensity found in the best amber beers. Sweet, malty taste with nothing much to push against the grain. Light malty notes in the finish with broen sugar and strawberry jam in the aftertaste. I love these sort of beers, hence the above average rating, but those who seek a higher level of complexity may be disappointed.

Clear amber beer, mahoosive pale tan head. Airy palate, mildly soft, reasonable fine carbonation manifesting. Fluffy malts. Fair dose of caramel and cream. Little ripe fruits. More caramel on the finish, slightly floral caramel. Okay sweet malty affair.

Bottle thanks to a neighbour. Another surprise new brewery tick! Pours clear amber with a thin off-white head. Nice orange and toffee aromas, faint floral notes. Taste is light sweet, dried orange and more floral notes. Light sweet, nutty finish.
