Presenting SUBSONIC - Hazy Session IPA.

We wanted to make a lighter style, juicy IPA, that can be enjoyed more often than say an 8% version

Subsonic is a lightweight when it comes to ABV and Calories, but it's a heavyweight with the hops. Jam packed with Sabro and Citra hops, this easy drinking tropical dream will keep your party rocking.

On tap at Threefold. Pours a very murky yellow with a white head. Lots of very pithy citrus and some pine on the nose. Flavour has pulpy oranges, pith, some dry pine, lots of chalk; finishes quite dry. Way too gritty and pithy.

On tap at Parallel 49, pours an opaque, milky golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is quite chalky, with earthy hops, some dankness, and pulpy citrus. Flavour is earthy and dank in the hop department, with gentle citrusy juiciness, and a dry bready malt finish. Earthy and somewhat chalky on the mouthfeel. It's alright.

355ml can. Pours a hazy orange-yellow with a medium, foamy, long lasting, white head that laces. Sweet fruity aroma of pale malt, grapefruit peel, tangerine, passion fruit, papaya, pineapple and earthy yeast. Sweet fruity flavour of pale malt, pineapple, papaya, tangerine, grapefruit, earthy yeast and a hint of coconut in a dry, mild bitter, hoppy finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. Juicy, delicious and easy to drink.

Stanky dank hops on the nose, pungent as all Yeast Van, some citrusy pineapple and papaya in there too. Pours with really good foam on a cloudy yellowy orange body, strong carbonation, big bubbles. Flavour is good oily pineapply hops, more papaya. Very nice oiliness on the mouth and a bit of crispness. For 4 percent this is excellent, a really big benefit and flagship for the ISA crowd.

12oz shared with Andrey on Canada Day in Golden Ears trying to get brave to set up a tent under the rain. Appearance: hazy blonde with a white head. Aroma: tropical fruits, some dank. Taste: along the same lines. Overall: good session thing.

Hazy gold with a rich white head. Perfumy citrus and a nice pithy note. Soft peel and a creamy nice and perfumy finish. Very perfumy, but still quite nice.

Opaque, thin head. Bright passionfruit, lychee and tangerine hops on the nose. Yeasty, good grapefruity bitterness. Malts are light, airy, and allow the hop brightness to shine just that little bit more. I can get behind this.

Poured from 355mL can. Cloudy blonde with quickly dissipating white head. Citrus hops with a subtle dankness. Like many ISAs, the flavour dissipates, but it has some give on the tongue. Overall, pretty decent for this style - would buy for game night with friends.

Draught at Parallel 49
Pale blond colour, cloudy to murky. Nice aroma, zesty and dank. Soft and dry mouthfeel, with light crisp malt; strong hopping, I think the Sabro creates the impression of butter, but there is also a lot of citrus zest, and some harsher citrus oil in the finish.
Within this difficult category, it's quite good.
