Bottle on the train back to Copenhagen after Fastelavn Smagning 2014, 02/03/14. Thanks to Jan (Fonefan) for this extra. Dark chestnut brown with a moderate beige covering. Nose is sweet cherry, chocolate notes, sweet sugary sugardoms. Taste comprises chocolate dipped cherries, very sweet. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, sweet licks in the close. Sweet sweet sweet meets Meh-ish! Big shout to Yespr for helping me out with this one!

Bottle. Pours clear dark amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of cherries with a malty touch. Sweet flavour of fermented low quality cherries, soaked in malt. Rusty, rather metallic finish. Nothing really recommendable but definitely drinkable.

Murky brown. Aroma and flavour of artificial cherry. A bit like cherry coke. Sweet and awful.

Bottle shared by Joes. Clear brownish color with a red touch to it, small off-white head. Smell cherries and basically that’s it. Taste cherries, sweetish, but fortunately not artificial. I quite like it. That is, I don’t like the style, but it’s a decent one, one I can easily drink.

Bottle @ home thx to joes. Copperish colour with a head that doesn’t last long. Smells cherry (more a candy type then a natural cherry) mostly. Tastes like Haribo cherry candy and gummi bears. Medium body, soft carbo.

50cl Bottle at Klub Malých Pivovarů, Plzen. Due to the lack of dark beers I chose this, ignorantly thinking that Kirsch was the brand name. Hazy brown colour, soapy white head. Aroma of stale cherries, dusty malts, brown sugar. Flavour is very sweet, brown sugar, caramel, cherries, cherry cola, light malty. Porter..pff.. Anyhow, not undrinkable, just very sweet.
