Brown with a frothy, white head. Aroma of ashes and dark chocolate. Slight grainy hints. Taste is bittersweet. Toast and burnt grains over a mild, nutty, milk chocolate sweetness. Lingering caramel and roasted bitterness. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, decent chewiness. Refreshing too. A good one.

Tight foamy white head left a froth on a chestnut coloured body. Malt & tobacco aroma. Medium bodied, tingly with a smooth dry back. Malt, berry, tobacco & light coffee tastes. Standard stuff.

Bottle from HoTM. It pours clear deep brown with a decent off white head. The aroma is rich malty vibes, malt loaf, toasty malts, light umami, fruit cake, doughy brown bread, dried fruits and a touch of twiggy spice. The taste is dry, toasty, bitter - sweet, light umami, rivita, brown bread, dough, soreen, fruit cake, nuttiness and spice with a drying, toasty finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Good depth for the style. Rounded and moreish.
