BrewDog Pale ale is a classic west coast pale ale, paying tribute to the beers like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale which inspired us to start up our brewery, albeit at a slightly more sessionable ABV. BrewDog Pale Ale focusses on a very heavy hop dosing in the whirlpool which gives a slightly different hop impact than a heavily dry-hopped beer with the hop character slightly more subtle on the nose but deeper intertwined into the light and malty backbone of the new beer.

Keg tap at the Loaded Dog, Leicester. Mid-golden and clear with a foamy off-white head. Biscuits aroma with some wet cardboard. Taste is... not better. Bittersweet without much character at all. Some slight bitterness toward the finish. Medium to heavy carbonation. Almost makes me long for the days of Indie Pale Ale. Almost.

18/4/2021. Can sample courtesy of SHIG, cheers! Pours clear golden with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of citrus, orange, mango, pine cones. Moderate sweetness and light bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation.

Can thanks to Cloin: Poured a golden with a white head. Aroma is perfume and fruit, some citrus. Taste is light bitter hops, citrus, piney, malt backbone.

@home poured into a shaker. Slightly unclear medium golden colour, thick frothy white to off-white head, half-way lasting, good lacing. Aroma pale malt, lemon, tangerine, canned peach, light pine notes. Smooth taste, medium sweet and bitter, malty, grapefruit. Light body, oily to creamy texture, soft carbonation, mild fruity bittersweet aftertaste, malty backbone, earthy notes, easy to drink, nice session ale.
