BrewDog Pale ale is a classic west coast pale ale, paying tribute to the beers like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale which inspired us to start up our brewery, albeit at a slightly more sessionable ABV. BrewDog Pale Ale focusses on a very heavy hop dosing in the whirlpool which gives a slightly different hop impact than a heavily dry-hopped beer with the hop character slightly more subtle on the nose but deeper intertwined into the light and malty backbone of the new beer.

Shot out of the bottle to greet me but still poured very peacefully: strange... Slightly darker than pale blonde and mildly hazy, with a stable 1cm head. Nose is lemon, slightly lemon drop, pine. Very crisp and defined hop nose and taste: Lemon on the tongue too. Very balanced and pleasant but could have done with 5%. 4.2 leaves it just a tad watery, but would be good for a session I suppose. Like it.

Clear, pale golden beer with a thick white head. Light, hoppy aroma. Taste's pretty light too. Some zestiness, a bit of hop, a little sweetness in there too. Nothing notable but it's a clean, easy-going pale ale.

True to style. Clean, crisp, dry, deeper danker C hops, not a lot of bitterness but a lot of flavour. One of the best in style. Beerwulf advent cal 2020

330 ml bottle. Unclear orange, fluffy head. Floral notes, pine needles, stinging hops (like hop extract), grapefruit peel. Hoppy bitterness. Medium to light bodied, oily watery texture, lively carbonated, bitter finish which ends abruptly. So, so. Has some good and some bad aspects.

330ml bottle. Minimally milky, yellow-ish, golden colour with average to huge, fluffy, slowly osteoporosing, minimally lacing, white head. Slightly weak, piney and citrusy, hoppy aroma, minimally biscuity, pale and caramel malty background, hints of lemon, a touch of lemon tea, a cautious doughy yeasty touch as well. Taste is dry, moderately bitter, piney and slightly citrusy hoppy, minimally chalky and mineral, pale malty basis without residual sweetness, hints o flemon, a touch of lemon tea; lingering, bitter, chalky, almost a bit medicamentous finish. Watery texture, smooth and soft palate, medium, soft carbonation. Lighter, in all other respects quite parallel to the Berlin-brewed Punk IPA version - quite average.
