BrewDog Pale ale is a classic west coast pale ale, paying tribute to the beers like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale which inspired us to start up our brewery, albeit at a slightly more sessionable ABV. BrewDog Pale Ale focusses on a very heavy hop dosing in the whirlpool which gives a slightly different hop impact than a heavily dry-hopped beer with the hop character slightly more subtle on the nose but deeper intertwined into the light and malty backbone of the new beer.

33cl bottle from BrewDog Online Store. F: big, white, good retention. C: gold, light hazy. A: orange, tangerine, bit pine, mellow tropical fruits. T: almost medium malty base, light citrus, grapefruits, pine resin touch, harmonic long lasting bitterness, soft carbonation, nice for the style, enjoyed.

330 ml can, from Det Gode Brygg, Sandnes. ABV is 4.2%. Pale golden colour, large to moderate white head. Distinct hoppy aroma with notes of citrus, pine and spruce. Light bodied, but not too bad for its ABV. Medium dry flavour of citrus, grapefruit and pine in the finish. Refreshing and easy drinking.
