BrewDog Pale ale is a classic west coast pale ale, paying tribute to the beers like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale which inspired us to start up our brewery, albeit at a slightly more sessionable ABV. BrewDog Pale Ale focusses on a very heavy hop dosing in the whirlpool which gives a slightly different hop impact than a heavily dry-hopped beer with the hop character slightly more subtle on the nose but deeper intertwined into the light and malty backbone of the new beer.

Clear, pale gold with a nice frothy white head. Subdued smell of grapefruit and a hint of pine on the nose, the taste is bitter and a little fruity with a dry bitter aftertaste. A lite version of a West Coast pale ale I'd say, quaffable and refreshing on a sunny day but doesn't set the world alight

Gylden. Klar. Middels høyt luftig skum som daler sakte. Litt lacing. Aroma av sevje & sitrusfrukt. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken beholder trepreget. Balansert. Tørr avslutning med hint av malt.

330ml can bought at Eurospar Langnes. Frothy white head to a clear golden body. Crocheted lacing on the glass. Restrained smell of dusty hops, mid-dry. Rounded taste profile of herbal hops with hints of lemon, bready malts beneath. Fruity malts towards the ending. Easy to drink. Okay session qualities. (Tromsø 09.05.2020).

Can sample at a tasting at Yoav's place. Slightly hazy yellow. Fruity and slightly green hops, light malt sweetness, bitter finish. Decent.

Can at home, from BD online, 25/04/20. Clear golden with a decent white cap. Nose is tangerine, grass, light floral notes, toasted grains, hint of bread dough. Taste comprises pale malts, grass, faint pine, tangerine, light perfume, melon. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with mellow hop bitterness. Pretty average but chuggable on a hote day … won't re-order this juan.

Can at home picked up from Brewdog online. A clear golden orange coloured pour with a lasting white loose head. Aroma is nice gentle leafy hops, biscuit, pine. Flavour is composed of crisp light grains, dry pine, leafy hops, little biscuit. Almost a SNPA clone, Firm grassy bitterness. Palate is crisp, light grains, pine, moderate carbonation. Good.

Bottle. Golden in colour with a thin, white, head. Light tropical fruit character, a touch of citrus hops, rich tea malts and a dryish finish. Fine.

Bottle from Tesco. Clear golden body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of nuts and dried orange peel. Flavour of straw and diluted IPA. Thin to medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. Disappointing.
