Bottle. Color: Ruby to copper, beige head. Aroma: Sugar, caramel, dark dried fruits, light boozy. Taste: Malt, caramel, brown sugar, light notes of dark dried fruit. Some more dried fruit, figs at finish. Medium to below medium body, just below average carbonation. Overall a bit thin. Ok, but not muchmore than that. Aroma is better than taste.

Hazy amberbrown colour, small frothy beige head, dissipates slowly. Aroma roasted malt, caramel, candy sugar, figs, touch of smoke. Full taste, medium sweet and bitter, malty, caramel, figs, light liquorice; malty sweetbitter aftertaste, treaclish undertone. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, robust, more like a brown ale, not a bock, very nice.

T: malty, herbal, caramel, dried fruits also dried figs touch, bit roasted tones, almost dry on the palate, medium body and soft carbonation, not bad for autumn blues even in winter, enjoyed, 33cl bottle from Beerwulf webshop.

Bottle @ home. Nice dark red-amber to red-brown color, red glare coming through, medium sized beige to light brown colored head. Aroma is malts, dusty, figs I guess. Taste malts, dark malts, dusty, figs again I guess. It's really odd and gets stranger tbh. Some caramelised sugars perhaps. Average to decent body, average carbonation. Hmm..no, don't like it.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Albert Heijn, Culemborg. Dark brown with a minimal off-white head. Dark caramel with dark fruits and figs. Sweet taste with some earthen cellar tones. Medium bitter finish. Great unusual doppelbock; the figs really work with this beer.

Fles 33cl thuis. Stroperig zoet, droog, vijg, rood fruit, nootachtig, wat roasted malts, koffietonen. Niet echt mijn ding. Heeft veel weg van een (te) zoete porter. (4-11-2018).

Dark brown colour with quick fading head. Aroma and flavour have dark roasted malts with a little bit of coffee. Also the sweet jamminess of ripe figs. Complex and rich.
