Keg at Revolucion de Cuba, Reading. Orangey-gold with a faint fizz. Sweet and sticky with an almost artificial apple flavour. A subtle hint of dryness in the aftertaste is too late to add any real interest. It’s trying to be one of those mass-market sweetish inoffensive lagers, but there’s others out there that do this much better. It’s not great.

Bottle given to me by my brother-in-law. Pours a clear gold with a finger of foam. Sweet, apple notes with a touch of yeast. Sweet on the palate with clean apple notes. Pours a clear apple juice from the tap, large bubbles but not effervescent. Aroma is of ripe apples, like walking under a tree and the ground is covered in drops that haven't started to rot yet. Flavor is syrupy sweet, with the alcohol somehow making it somewhat medicinal. Good cider.

500ml bottle. Clear golden colour, no head. Aroma and taste of light sweet ripe apples. Refreshing. Medium body, moderate carbonation. First American ’hard’ cider for me and it’s actually not too bad, can easily compete with British ones.

I had higher expectations due to the slightly better reviews for this cider, but my experience was a bit of a letdown. Aroma is basic cider. Flavor though is like old apples and medicine. Ditto for the fairly short finish.

On tap at Steel Toad, pours a fairly clear yellowish blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out medium sweet crisp green apple, not much else to say. Flavour is along the same lines, with loads of crisp green apple, a bit of the apple skins, and medium sweetness throughout the body and finish. Simple, but extremely thirst-quenching and easy to drink, almost like apple juice. Solid stuff for what it is.
