U.S Meets Europe S.I.P.A. - Collaborating with De Molen Brewery in the "Green Heart" of The Netherlands, we have created a wild and inventive recipe that is a unique blend of the best from both worlds! A super-charged Saison I.P.A. is born, featuring kilos of American hops to add a crazy twist to this European-style ale. The fruity, spicy flavors of this malty Double Saison are nicely complimented by an abundance of late and dry-hopping with the finest American hops.

This brew pours a clear dark copper color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Sparse lacing on the glass. Aroma of sweet fruit, yeast and hops. Full-bodied with a syrupy mouthfeel and flavors of ripe fruit, yeast and earthy hops. The finish is sweet with a borderline cloying fruity yeast aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle @ Bandlys Blålys, Odense 2012. Pours cloudy amber with a small creamy head. Yeast and hops. A bit of phenols. Some alcohol. Fruity hoppy finish.

Bottle @ home. Clear amber to brown colour with a decent white head. Smells hoppy, fresh, grapefruit, malts, sweet. Tastes sweet, fruity, red fruits, hops, bitter, flowers, wood (pine maybe?). Lovely and amazing taste. Full body, soft fizzy carbo.

Malziger Beginn, etwas Honig und Alkohol. Weihnachtsgewürze, brotig, übertriebene Intensität, das Ganze wirkt disharmonisch. Süß, in Teilen zuckrig wirkend. Vergorener Fruchtabgang. Nichts für mich! 8/7/5/6/9/6

At Carlsens. Cloudy amber with a lasting off-white head. Heavy hoppy aroma, especially grassy and herbal, with a little citrus and pine. Also a touch of malty aroma and some alcohol. Sweet and somewhat alcoholic flavour with some fruity and grassy hops. Good bitter finish and a little alcohol heat. A little too much alcohol after a few sips.

Bottle courtesy of and shared with Kermis. Murky brown pour with a big frothy head. Fruity spicy aroma and a wonderfully smooth rich bitter taste with citrus notes. Delicate bitterness sits on the palate for a short while. At 10.4% its strong, but it works. A lovely beer. Try it if you are lucky enough to track one down. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle shared. Pours cloudy amber with a thick off white head. Aroma of citrus, caramel, fruits and some alcohol. Flavour is medium to heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation.
