On cask at the Haymarket. Appearance - golden amber with a decent head. Nose - biscuits, some light spice and general astringency. Taste - orange, light toffee and biscuits. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy yet crunchy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - not rich enough for an ESB.

Cask at the Oval, Croydon. It pours clear amber-brown with a decent off-white head. The nose is toasty, brown bread, biscuit and light caramel sweetness. The taste is malt-driven, toasty, leather, wood, biscuit, brown bread, caramel, light pepper and nut with a dry sort of finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Not bad, but far from exciting. OK bitter, but forgettable.

Cask at the Hereward, Ely. Not a beer pub really but my pint is in good enough condition. Light honeyed gold, only the slightest amount of head and lacing. Smell light and unconvincing: malt-led with agave nectar, wood, wildflower. Sweet honeyed taste, with a bit of bitter-sour in the finish. It isn’t bad at all.

Sampled @ GBBF day 3. Clear orange color, small white head. Smell and taste malts, slightly leaves, slightly metallic, lightly bitter. Average body and carbonation. Don’t really like it but it’s drinkable.
