Hazy brown with a medium dense beige head. Aroma had plenty of beechwood smoke, ham, bacon, roasted malt and camp fire. Over the palate came plenty of intense beechwood smoke, roasted malt, light tar and hard fried bacon. Finished bone dry and bitter.

Schnapp-Fläschla: Very deep amber coloured with a ruby sheen, small and stable tanned head, wood-fire, roasted malt & dark malt and herbal hops in the dryish bitter-sweet nose, chocolate and fruity spots detectable; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, nearly medium bodied, pretty soft; lingering bitter-sweet smoky and malty finish, herbal hops and burnt wood in the aftertaste. Yes! Much better than expected. The well detectable malty body correspondents well with the smoke...

At the source. Beautiful dark almost black color with a slight deep dark red glare coming through when held into the light. Head is full and beige colored. Appearance is the perfect picture. Aroma is heavy smoke and malts. Flavor is malts dark malts rauch and a tad sweetish initially. Aftertaste is malty rauch dry-bitter. Great rauchbier imo. 7-5-7-4-15.

RBESG 19 Grand Tasting. Chestnut brown with an off white head. Meaty, smokey aroma. Nice big smokey taste, bacon and wood, simplistic, but work. Just don't expect a Schlenkerla.
