Big 660ml bottle at Blå Rock Cafe while watching TIL-Brann on TV and eating a well made tuna salad called Waterboys. Clear mahogany topped with a fast diminishing foam. Weak hoppy aroma. Flavour with a good touch of caramel. Malty texture. Watery palate. Light, but nice bitter finish. Alright as a partner to the salad and the match.

Bottled. Still, golden beer with a dminishing, off-white head. The aroma is mostly malty, with caramel and flowery hops. The flavor is malt-dominated too, with hops, caramel and dark bread. Long bitter finish and a body that is medium to thin. Not excactly my idea of an IPA, but not bad.(060405)

Medium creamy light beige head with a rash of larger bubbles. Chestnut brown body. Sweetish malty nutty aroma with hints of smoke. Taste is again nutty and sweetish, softly bitter aftertaste. A kind of metallic taste lingers which at first I found unpleasant, but which I got used to after a while. Well. Not enough taste, very little aroma hops. This is more like a weak bitter than an IPA, IMHO.

Gee another crappy English ale. Sampled from a 16.9 oz can this beer poured a bronze color with a huge tan head that lingered. The aroma is grassy and peppery. The flavor is tangy, grassy and peppery. The finish is tangy and dry. Sadly the appearance was the only noteworthy part of this beer.

660 ml bottle, bought in Norway. Tawny colour, moderate head, moderate "standard bitter" aroma. Flavourwise it’s much like the cask version: Smooth and drinkable, not offensive in any way, but not very exciting either.
