Red Feather takes its inspiration from the emblem of Welbeck and its crossed red feathers, which represent pride in the estate’s heritage and entrepreneurial spirit.
Our Red Feather is a robust auburn ale. Plenty of crystal malt gives this beer a rich colour and combination of bold walnut and bitter-sweet caramel flavours.

Cask-conditioned at the Portcullis, Clifton, Bristol 19/12/2011. Ruddy amber on colour woth a slight, off-white head. Sweet, caramel and red fruit aroma. Flavour had some robust, cereal malt, more sweetness and a decent bitter finish. Fine.

Cask@Market Porter, London. Deep reddish amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is sweet malts, some raisins, mild notes of sweetness as some slight earthyness. Flavour is fruity, wooden, herbal and mildly nutty with some raisins as well as sweet malty notes. Very nicely balanced and pleasant. Somewhere between a bitter and a mild ale.
