Poured from a bottle. Aroma has a light tropical fruit sweetness with some light citrus and barnyard funk. Moderate grape notes with some grape must as well. Light oak with hints of stone fruit. Pours a moderately clear, copper orange with a fairly thin, medium sized, white head that recedes to the edges where it lingers a bit. No lacing and medium small legs. Flavor has a medium light sweetness with quite a bit of acidity. A mineral, chalky, flavor that I do not remember picking up in any other de Garde beers. Some medium light oak notes with a moderately strong grape flavor with quite a bit of grape must. Some light stone fruit notes and tropical fruit with medium light citrus. Moderate bitterness with a slightly harsh tannin note. Finish has a lot of grape skin and juice with some light oak and lingering acidity. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, an alright beer but I think there was a little bit too much fruit, especially grape skins used in the beer. I attribute the harsh tannins and weird mineral note to the grape skins. A nice beer, but the fruit seems too strong and detracts a bit.

Bottle thanks to Chow. Pours a clear orange with small white head. The aroma is strong grape, funk, oak. Medium mouth, tart grape, oak, very nice.

750mL bottle, pours a deep dark orange with a small white head. Nose brings out earthy musty notes, feet, oak, and grape skins. Flavour is very similar, with those earthy musty notes and feet upfront, with light grape skins and oak. As with many De Garde beers, it has the same feet-like off-notes -- do they know what they're doing? Decent, but a bit off the mark.
