Hallowed is a Belgian inspired beer that’s brewed in England. It is also one of the first beers to be brewed by Robinsons Brewery that uses Belgian yeast. Robinsons haven’t changed the yeast used in their beers since 1942, which makes Hallowed even more special.

Bottle from B&M Bargains, Halifax. Light amber-brown coloured with a small head. Has a nice Belgian styling to the brew with bready-yeasts abundant and a hint of caramel behind this.

330ml bottle. Clear, darkest ruby colour with small, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Yeasty fruity and sweet-ish malty, minimally sugary aroma, hints of cherry, black cherry, some plum, a touch of rye spiciness. Taste is dry, yeasty fruity and yeasty spicy, minimally bready malty with a touch of dried banana, hints of dark cherry, plum, a marmite touch. Nice composition, but not overly intense. So-so.

15/9/2018. Bottle courtesy of Dan. Pours amber brown with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of toffee, molasses, sugar, rubber, dried fruits and ripe banana, Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation.

Danke an minutemat. Dunkel röstig-wässriger Beginn mit wenig süßer Würzigkeit. Dunkles Getreide, weiche Karbonisierung, spät bitter im Hintergrund. Okay. 8/8/7/7/10/8

Sampled @ my one and only THT 2018. Clear light amber color, average sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, sweetish, cardboard, dusty. Average body and carbonation at best. Hmm not very good.
