Hallowed is a Belgian inspired beer that’s brewed in England. It is also one of the first beers to be brewed by Robinsons Brewery that uses Belgian yeast. Robinsons haven’t changed the yeast used in their beers since 1942, which makes Hallowed even more special.

THT July at Kwartje. Clear brownish with white head. Sweet malts, woody cardboard, sugar, something sour. Disgusting. --- Beer merged from original tick of Trooper Hallowed on 22 Jul 2018 at 11:41 - Score: 2

Bottle shared at THT actually July! Clear light brown with light beige head. Apple, cardboard, light sugary, bready, soft toasty malts. Medium sweet and under medium bitter. Just medium bodied.

Belgian ale made in England…..yeah right. It had both a Belgian and an English twist. Some yeast and mild banana from the Belgian side. Toffee from the English side and fruity from both sides. The best so far from Master Bruce. Up The Irons.

330ml bottle from an extremely humid B&M Shrewsbury. Pours a deep, generally clear brown, off-white head. Aroma suggests sweet Trappist dubbel yeast, banana, ripe plums. Taste is fairly light with sweet dubbel notes, ripe dark fruits, plummy sweetness, some distant banan that lingers on the finish. Again quite light and drinkable. Not bad.

Bottle from the LCBO. Clear dark copper pour with the tiniest of off white heads that doesn't have time to set up before it is gone. Nose is dark fruit, caramel, banana, coriander and a hint of yeast. Light+ sweet caramel with a touch of plum tartness and a light grassy bitterness. Mouth is medium- and slick with soft carbonation. Not Belgian and not great. 6/2/6-/3/12-

Bottle. Clear deep red with a coat of beige head. Aroma of caramel, paper, raisins, banana, coriander. Medium bodied, pleasantly low carbonation. Not as sweet as threatened. A herbal bitterness does close off the highly estery and caramely taste, but in a way that's more suggestive of an ESA than anything else. Anacrusis, arpeggiation in 5ths, sustained wibbly tonic over cadence and... scene.
