Can from my local office. It pours jet black with a thick, foamy tan head. The nose is earthy, rich roast, salted liquorice, charred wood, umami, tangy soy sauce character and cocoa. The taste is bitter, charred wood, rich roast malt, burnt toast, umami, liquorice, saltiness, cracked peppercorn, coffee grounds and cocoa with dry, toasty finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. This tastes actually pretty decent and is well-rounded. Reckon it would work nicely with some seafood I dare say.

Bottle. Black with a brown hue, full tan head. Aroma is thin smoke malt. Flavour is dry roasted caramel, fruity toast finish.

11.2 ounce bottle from the Brewers Project Pack purchased at a Costco. Looks like this is a US debut maybe? Dark ruby tinted brown, large frothy tan head, good retention. Aroma of muted roast. The taste is chocolate, caramel, cocoa, mildly fruity finish. Thin-medium bodied, smooth, high carbonation.

0.5l bottle. Black body, light brown head. Aroma of smoke, roasted malts, grains and floral hops. Taste of bread, toast, chocolate, floral hops and smoke. OK beer.

Butelka 0,5 z datą ważności do 22.04.2016, temperatura degustacji 14 stopni +, szkło Irish imperial pint. Aromat: ciemne pieczywo, w tle czekolada, nuty kawowe delikatne (latte). Barwa: pod światło (latarka z telefonu) - ciemno brunatne, klarowne, przy normalnym świetle praktycznie nieprzejrzyste. Piana: beżowa, średnia, zbudowana z średnio i drobno pęcherzykowa, po jakimś czasie zbija się w kremową czapę która bardzo długo się utrzymuje, opadając pozostawia całkiem niezły leasing. Smak: wytrawne, ciemne pieczywo, kawa, paloność, goryczka, niska. Pełnia średnia do niskiej, bardzo pijalne, sesyjne, trochę wysycenie za wysokie (trzeba mu chwilę dać żeby się odgazowało) trochę brakuje tej gładkości, aksamitności co w wersji na azocie. Aż chciałoby się otworzyć kolejną butelkę, nie jest to może mistrz stylu ale trzyma wysoki poziom jak na koncern, no i bez wad.

Black beer with a decent beige head. Flavour is typical stout: coffee, malt, chocolate. A touch of fruit in there as well. Quite rich in body but it does have a very slightly watery edge to the flavour. Nice, malty aftertaste.

Dark brown color, medium sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, dark malts, bitter. Thin texture, average body and carbonation. Meh.

500ml bottle: BBD 01 Jun 16. Drank at home in the early hours of 03 Oct 15. Poured slowly into a UK pint sleeve. Looked like a Guinness, black with a tanned coloured foaming head. Aroma like a Guinness, burnt malts and other grains. Tasted like a Guinness. Malty, over roasted and with a hint of hidden sweetness that never actually materialises. Decent enough, went well with some strong Cheddar I had for a late supper.

Bottle from the Kensington Tesco. Pours dark brown with a slight beige head. Aroma of dark malt with some dark chocolate. Med body or so. Flavor matches aroma, with a little bit of earthiness added. Pretty good porter.
