Can from Park Fever, Hither Green. Black pour with a beige head. Aromas of raisin, dark fruits, prunes, plum pudding. Flavours of chocolate pudding, caramel, hot spice. Good.

Keg at MK VHX, 20/11/18. Black with a decent tan covering. Nose is mellow roast, chocolate, toffee, brown sugar. Taste comprises chocolate, roast malts, light spice, dried fruits, brown sugars, dates. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok porter but lacking depth for the ABV and delivering little on the chilli front ... sometimes not a bad thing!

Black beer with a lively pour. Malty aroma with a hint of spice. The amount of chilli in the flavour is just right for me. Enough to lend it an edge but not so much that it dominates. It gives a bit of kick to the rich, chocolatey malt taste. A creamy, smooth and very drinkable stout.

Keg at the fourpure brewery tap room. A clear chestnut brown coloured pour with a lasting fine beige head. Aroma is sweet brown malts, hazelnut spread, dirty chcoo. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, meaty brown malts, autumnal vibes, sugary brown malts, hints of cinnamon in the finish.. Palate is medium sweet wet, sticky, modretate carbonation. Little meaty.

Keg at the brewery tap. Pours rich brown with reddish highlights, and has a tight, lasting tan cream head. Fairly sweet, with rounded dark malt character, toasted sugars, well toasted brown bread, background earth. Medium bodied, lightly oily, with fine carbonation. Effectively no chili pepper presence, although there might be a suggestion in the aftertaste (wouldn't detect it if I weren't searching for it). Finishes with more sweet dark malts, light alcohol warmth, dark berry accents. Somewhat basic but it drinks pretty smooth.
