A light, golden single hop ale showcasing the Columbus variety grown in the USA in a typically Yorkshire, modern session ale style. Bitterness is kept to a moderate level but large additions of Columbus late in the boil and during fermentation give the beer a delightful fruity character along with its own uniquely distinctive Columbus aroma. A great accompaniment to fish dishes, this beer sits equally well on its own.

330ml bottle from Appellation Wines, Dalry Road. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of sweaty lemon, faint floral hops. Taste is more of the same. Sweaty. Not loving it to be honest. OK.

Bottle from Appellation Wines Comely Bank. Appearance - golden with a generous fluffy head. Steady carbonation. Nose - lemon curd and generally floral. Hay perhaps. Taste - lemon pith and light herbal notes. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - in the bitter side of balanced for my palate. But good.

Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a clear straw colour with a bubbly white head. The aroma is light citrus hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a big fruity citrus, spicy pepper toothpaste hop palate. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Nice and fresh and well kept. A great session ale.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol, July 2015. Golden in colour, with a tight, off-white, head. Aroma of tropical fruits, with some prickly, almost peppery hops. Flavour had some sweet stone and tropical fruits, and biscuity malts before a juicy, yet dryish, finish. Very good.

Cask gravity at Reading Beer Festival 2015. Clear gold lasting white head. peach apricot and some tropical fruit aroma. It’s a tasty golden ale with excellent hops. Some condition. Yes good fruit. Some bitterness on the finish in fact verges on the harsh. Some condition dry. Good dry apricot flavour
