500ml bottle. Poured a clear medium amber colour with a short-lived frothy white head and a few bubbles. The aroma is malt, nutty caramel, woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a slightly light, watery, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. The hops are right, but overall the beer seems a little light and possibly slightly over-carbonated.

Cask, Black Bull Cockkermouth. Blonde like a Czech pilsener, slightly cloudy. Hardly any aroma, or maybe the wind has blown it away (I was sitting in a windy beer garden). Sweetish, citrusy and malty like a Crombé, but with less hop character. Grapefruity, hoppy aftertaste. Nice summer beer.

Tried at the Three Horseshoes, Waddington. Amber colour with a white head. Aroma malty caramel and a touch of sharp berry fruit. Taste light sweet. Medium body.

Pours an almost clear amber colour with a frothy off white head that quickly settled to a scrummy layer. Aroma is a sweetish malty caramel and twiggy hops. A sweet grainy malt taste, caramel and orange flavours and a citrusy bitterness in the finish.

500ml bottle many thanks to ManVsBeer. Clear golden-brown body. Lacing rings down the glass from a decent off-white head. Dry aroma of grass and mid-sweet malts. Moderate flavours of pears, herbal hops, and caramel malts. Bittersweet endnotes. Clean in the mouth and easy to drink. Accepted (hotel room, Bloomsbury 10.07.2015).

Cask at JDW Charlie Hall; hazy amber pour with foamy white head, floral aroma, taste has some fruit along with pale malts, bitter finish quite crisp tasting.

Cask at Ealing beer festival 2013, London. An amber coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Fruity, caramel, malty, aroma. Tastes caramel, malty, fruity, slightly hoppy. Lovely and fresh, this would be a great session ale.
