Toasted coconut combines with notes of warm bourbon in each sip, washing over a fudgy chocolate base creating favors of chocolate-covered coconut truffles.

Pours like oil, a pitch black colour and a brown head with that doesn't last very long, but leaves some patches. Aroma's: sweet, coconut, molasses, chocolate, some dark/dried fruit. Retronasal there's a bit more fruit, still sweet, chocolate, coconut, a bit woody, boozy. Flavour is heavy sweet, chocolate-y, with light fruity sourness. Full bodied, viscous, very thick. Alcohol is warming but not sharp. Nice feeling carbonation. Long finish with mainly sweet chocolate. Nice dessert sipper.

2019 Vintage. Pours a thick, cola-coffee black, with mid-sized tan head that dissipates rapidly. Aroma is chocolate, coconut, licorice, bourbon. Flavor follows, with caramel and raisin. Very, very sweet and smooth beer. ABV is well-hidden. Delicious.

12oz bottle courtesy of IPhonePhan. Waxed bottle pours a thick black, leggy, ring of brown head. Nose is big, heavy with chocolate and caramel and booze, toasted coconut, molasses, licorice. Flavor is very sweet with chocolate and coconut and raisins now, creamy brownie batter, lots of coconut, some burnt toast. Full bodied, sweet, sticky and looooonnnnnnnggggggg finish. Great.

On draft at the brewery during the 2019 Assassin release. Aromas of coconut , oak, prunes and dark chocolate. Flavors are sweet pit fruits and dark fudge with some whiskey booziness. Nice variant.
