Originally rated February 2007. Can from the LCBO. Pours a clean amber-copper colour with a decent creamy off-white head that has good retention. Carbonation is very light, with tiny little bubbles, from time to time. Big grainy and bread nose with some yeast. Watery mouthfeel with a bit of stickiness. The taste is nice, with some sweetness, some fruitiness and some light hoppiness. Pretty good bitter.

Beautiful colour, copperbrown beer with a medium and blond head. Aroma is moderate fresh and complex, toffeeish maltyness, some aromatic fruityness and some berries and cherries. Taste is malty, toffee, not too sweet, some berries, medium bitterness that is quite dry and wooden, slightly musty aftertaste. Quite light to drink, but also nicely smooth. Quite nice, better medium level bitter, good balance; more aromatic nuancees would be great.

Bottled 500ml (K-Kamppi, BB 01/2012)
Clear deep amber-copper color, good white head, some lace. Nutty-fryuity toffeish malty aroma. Light to medium bodied. Crisp carbonation. Front is a bit empty and watery, then nutty-toffeish maltyness with low bitterness. Quite simple brew with a bit Fullers-like flavors. Not really a standard bitter, kind of a version of mild ale, thanks for added cane sugar.

Bottle. It pours a clear, dark golden body and a decent off-white head. It’s malty and slightly biscuity, toffee borderlining butterscotch, and with some fruity hops, but just a subtle dash. Very soft on the palate, feeling almost dead even though it’s nicely carbonated, medium to full bodied, and with a balancing bitterness showing up towards the medium lenght end. Toffeeish flavor with fruityness. A decent beer indeed, it drinks easily, but is too boring to be interesting. 101008

500ml bottle. Pours a dark amber with no head. Anything on the nose? No, maybe a little bit of malt. Not much on the taste, just some fruity malt and a bitter finish. Scored higher then I normally would, but if I was drinking this in the pub, I’d love it, but at home from the bottle it doesn’t quite work.
