Pours a clear red brown colour with a large lasting frothy beige head. Aroma is malty and fruity, dark malts, caramel and black currants. Taste is light sweet, dark malt, black currant and liquorice flavours. A drying earthy bitterness in the finish.

Sample at the red lion, Doncaster. Medium white head. Clear amber pour. Some blackcurrant. A bit odd.

Cask (handpump) @ Roebuck Inn (JDW), 9-11 St. James’s Street, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England NG1 6FH. [ As Fuggle Bunny Jammy Dodger - Chapter 8 ].Clear medium to dark red brown color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, fruity, blackcurrant, licorice. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, licorice, dark malt, blackcurrant. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20161012] 8-4-7-3-15

Cask at the Rail Ale Festival Chesterfield, 2016. Poured a clear reddish brown with a frothy off white head. The aroma is red berry fruit, light roasty, light hop. The flavour is light sweet with a smooth rich fruity light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at Rail Ale ’16, 20/05/16. Rich ruby red with a well appointed light beige cap. Nose is light fruit esters, earthy tones, biscuit, pinch of spice. Taste comprises biscuit malt, berry linger, raises, earthy. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok bitter.

Cask at Chesterfield Rail Ale Jolly with RB crew; dark brown/red pour with a bubbly light tan head, aroma has dark fruits plus some roast malts, taste has light roast, some chocolate and sweet red fruits.

Cask @ Commercial Inn, Sowerby Bridge. Dark chestnut-red with a creamy head. There’s a few darker malts to be found in its nose, but a sugary sweet malt is more prevalent in its taste.
