Broken Brass is een dorstige band. Ze hebben dorst naar een gigantisch geluid, dorst naar explosieve energie en dorst naar een heleboel blonde biertjes. Het is daarom niet onlogisch dat de blazers tijdens de opnames van hun nieuwe album “WITH A VENGEANCE” besloten om hun eigen biersmaak te willen hebben. Het moest een zwaar bier worden. De muzikanten belden vanuit de studio met Brouwerij Bûsdoek, die een nieuw recept ontwikkelden, gebaseerd op de smaak van de 8 bandleden.
In dit bier proef je de explosieve smaken van Citra & Saaz-hop, ongefilterd met een stevige en volle mout body. Kardemom, rietsuiker en trappistengist achtervolgden elkaar in een high-speed chase door de straten van hun smaakpalet. Als na het proeven de rookwolken zijn opgelaaid weet je zeker: WITH A VENGEANCE!

Bottle from Lekkerbier, Sint Nicolaasga. Aroma is yeasty and fairly fruity with malt, sugary and spicy notes, candied citrus, light floral, some ripe apricot. Flavour is pretty sweet with a light bitterness. Body is medium. On the sweet sugary side, nice (candied) fruitiness in the aroma.

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, orangey, dark golden to amber colour with small, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Minimally estery, yeasty fruity and sweet-ish, malty aroma, hints of peach and apricot, herbal-spicy overtones with a touch of coriander and aniseed. Taste is sweet, malty, yeasty fruity and spicy, notes of honey, coriander, pimento, some apricot and peach, a touch of orange peel, aniseed; lingering, sweet-ish malty finish. Minimally viscous texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine, soft to flat carbonation. Nice composition, balanced and not overspiced - pretty decent.

Aroma van wat sinaasappel, abrikoos en gist, zo zeg .... wat een suikerwater man, echt veel en veel te zoet, gist ook duidelijk merkbaar, floraal. Tsja ... ik krijg hem ook niet op btw... kan hier niet van genieten...

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Burg Bieren, Ermelo. Dutch brewery #325. Hazy golden with a thin white head. Yeasty fruity aroma with some hops as well. Taste is sweet with a medium bitter finish. Nice hop aroma overall but a bit too sweet as well.
