Bottled from Katagiri Grocery on 59th st. Dark with minor league head. Smell was sweet and malty. Some bitter to finish. Pretty decent, better than most Asiatic stouties.

Sample thanks to Grumbo. Pours black, beige head. Dark chocolate, roast aroma. Silky mouthfeel, rich dark malts, molasses with a roasty bitterness. Lovely stout.

27/12/2022. Bottle at the ITFC Christmas beer share. From Marek. Niigata rating #5. Pours very dark brown with a small frothy beige head. Aroma of dark fruits, molasses, chocolate, roasted malt, liquorice. Medium sweetness, light roasted bitterness. Moderate body, slightly oily, soft carbonation. Quite drinkable.

330mL bottle, pours black with a large beige head. Nose is full of lactose-like sweetness, moderate roast, and a touch of cocoa. Flavour is moderately sweet, with medium roast, gentle earthy cocoa, and lactose-like sweetness. Clean and balanced, though unexceptional. Solid stout.
