Deep dark coloured and majestic beer, decidedly robust albeit smooth and fragrant, produced with a small addition of chilli and star anise. The intense hints of cocoa, coffee and caramel typical of dark malts emerge elegantly from an embracing complexity of flavours that culminates in a pleasant and balanced piquancy.

Bottle at il punto. Pours basically black, big slightly tan head. Aroma is malty, chocolate, lots of chocolate malt, caramel, vegetal chili. Medium to big body. Flavour is malty, rich, sweet and complex. Chocolate, cacao, caramel, light licorice. Some heat and vegetal chili notes. Lovely impy from canediguerra.

Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours black with moderate brown foam, very fine. Aroma is sweetish of molasses and burnt caramel. Body is a little dense with moderate carbonation. Taste is dominated by the chili dimension, with a more discernible sweetish feeling of molasses in the second part of the tasting experience. Final is fairly long and chili.
