Pours dark amber with a large lasting head.Nose shows piny and resinous hops, some caramel, a bit of pineapple, some lychee and fruit confectionery.Flavours include more caramel, some bready malt, a fair whack of pine, some resinous hops, a bit of fruit, and a reasonable but well-balanced bitterness. Gets a bit grainy and a astringent.Carbonation seems excessive.

Can. Deep Amber. Pine and caramel nose. Caramel, biscuit and pine flavours. Solid red action. Woof.

Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7.5
Can. Garnet with a pale beige head that fades to a cm. 3+ Relatively shy aroma with bitter oranges, toast, pine needles. Just medium bodied, carbonation is moderate. Some depth to the caramelistion of the malt flavours but it's surprisingly dry. The fruity, piney and spicy aromatics ooze out gradually until they predominate at the fairly bitter end. Nicely done.
