The return of a legend. A mythical and well-loved brand, which has left an indisputable mark and which, nine decades after its creation, is masterfully reinventing itself to offer a top quality beer, full-bodied, with an intense flavor and very refreshing. The new bottle recovers the original green color of 1928, the year of its founding and, of course, the iconic Santa Catalina Castle, the brand's emblem since its origin.

Rocky white head stayed on a clear amber coloured body. Grain, berry & bitter aroma. Medium bodied, lightly carbonated & dry. Malt, biscuit, sweet stone fruit & raisin tastes. Not bad.

33cl can from Carrefour Market in Arroyo de La Miel, Málaga, Spain. Head is big, egg-white, long lasting. Colour is deep gold, clear. Aroma is malty, bready, herbal, toast. Taste is medium malty base, bready, bit caramel, toast, hoppy touch, soft carbonation, more malty yet ok, drinkable.

Catada en copa pilsen. Color dorado, limpio y cristalino, espuma blanca de mediana retención. Aroma a malta y ligero caramelo. En boca dice lo mismo que en nariz, maltosidad notable con ligeras notas de caramelo, final con muy leve amargor, se siente algo el alcohol, pero no para mal. No es mala, pero tampoco me fascina.

330ml green bottle at the beach bar C'Mariano in Almuñécar. Bright amber body, filmy layer, rings of lace down the glass. Moderate aromas of pale malts added by a fruity touch. Pale malt-driven flavours, hints of nuts. Backdrop of oily hops to the finish. Fine bodied. Quite alright in the warming Spanish sun. (12.03.2020).

33 cl bottle at Soccer bar, Madrid. It pours dark golden with an abundant snow-white head. Aroma is quite simple: porridge and iron, iron and porridge. Period. Boozy, a little too thick, quite bitter. Long-lasting. To be sipped slowly.

0,33 flaske fra lokal bodega i Frigiliana, mens jeg venter på bussen tilbake til Nerja: klar gylden med fint skum som varer. Mykje malt og lite humle, men greit nok i det nydelige været. Da smaker jo det meste godt! --- Beer merged from original tick of El Alcázar (6%) on 16 Feb 2025 at 17:25 - Score: Appearance - 7 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6. Original review text: 0,33 boks fra Carrefour Nerja, delt med Kitty på balconasen: klar gylden med fint skum som varer. Mye malt, litt gress og urter. Fin bitterhet i den halvtørre avslutningen.
