Spruce tip pale ale
Pin it to win it! This Nordic spruce tip ale is brewed with fresh spruce tips that we hand harvest every spring. It’s fresh, bright and clean. Catch us out in the bush every spring with buckets in hand.

Spruce tips are definitely well integrated here. I've had a lot of these beers that are overdone but this isn't. Just have some florals and sappy type feel. Golden pour with good head and lacing. Bittersweet finish. Tap at brewery.

Very faint lemon and spruce aroma, has clear gold body with modest foam. Flavour is soft weak spruce tip, some vague hops in there. Mouhtfeel has no crispness, too weak and watery. Nothing stands out here; great idea, bad execution.

On tap at Jackknife, pours a hazy golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out gentle spruce tip and earthy hops. Flavour is along the same lines, with earthy hips and biscuity malt. Subdued spruce character. It's alright.

Opaque. Thin head. The aroma is a bit toasty, lightly fruity, bitter, pretty spicy, with a nice fruitiness. Not bad, but not much spruce.
