Bold, full bodied with huge dark pit fruit notes and a coffee and molasses undertone. Prominent notes of oak and bourbon provide a rich depth of flavour.

Pours with a very nice deep beige foam and a very dark brown body, a little lighter than normal for impy stouts. On the nose is undoubtedly plenty of bourbon and also some soft coffee notes, but the bourbon barrel is dominating. Flavour is definitely bourbon forward but done in a good way - sweet coffee and chocolate layers back, staged properly. Very good mouthfeel, full and smooth with some chalky coffee notes. Alcohol is completely invisible. This has a very impressive balance, everything is working very well together and it's quite enjoyable.
