We dry-hopped Categorical Imperative during fermentation and added a biotransformative enzyme to synthesize a new kind of Belgian IPA.

The enzyme sublimates normal hop compounds into new, juicy esters in addition to the esters of our Belgian yeast. Instead of obeying the imperative of the IPA category, we have transcended it.

Draught at the Magnet, Vancouver
Blond colour, clean. Medium Belgian yeast nose; the flavour is moderately spicy, the mouthfeel is soft; there is a hint of sweet anise, and some alcohol.
Nice.

Smells of nice hops with pineapple hints, has okay foam and a medium semi-cloudy yellow body. Flavour is soft creamy grains and some yeast, mouthfeel is full with a chalky aftertaste. It's drinkable but missing some solid IPA elements to make it memorable.

On tap at The Magnet, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of Belgian yeast, floral hops, and some estery harshness. Flavour is estery and floral, with floral hops, candied sugar, and bitterness. Rather messy and lacking cohesion. Not so good.
