If, like us, you enjoy the flavor profile of a well-made rye whiskey, then you will enjoy this oak infused rye ale. We use generous amounts of rye malts to give it a spicy, peppery edge, and balance it with a blend of caramel and pale malts. We then infuse and mature the beer with new American medium toasted oak. We like drinking this one neat, or with a citrus peel (orange and grapefruit work well) and a dash of bitters.

靈感來自裸麥威士忌的The Rye on Wood,在釀造過程加入大量裸麥,令啤酒增加一份柔滑口感及濃郁的麥芽味。再加上熟成時期的美國橡木條,帶出如美國威士忌般的風味。

On tap at The Ale Project, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of oak upfront, followed by spicy earthy rye, and dry toasted caramel. Flavour is fairly subtle, with the oak showing up out front, and the earthy spiciness following. Balanced and tasteful. Good stuff.

Tap at Mikkeller Bangkok. Poured a slightly hazy golden amber colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is grainy toffee caramel malt, fruity, dry hop. The flavour is moderate sweet with a rich smooth, biscuit sweet toffee malt, citrus fruit, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

A reddish copper ale with a thin lacing light mocha head. In aroma, light nutty caramel malt with light grassy hops, light mineral notes, light rye, OK. In mouth, a nice nutty caramel malt with light grassy hops, light rye notes, oily mouth feel. On tap at Tap Ale Project.

On tap at the Roundhouse, HK. Smooth and fresh beginning. Round and smooth with a nice rye-like earthy flavour. Moderate bitterness in a nice grainy and fresh earthy body. Not much wood here. Mild and smooth yeasty aftertaste, round, not too sweetish, nice.

Hazy brown color. Malty light mouth, the mouth is very malt with lingering rye notes but not balanced and not very good.

Tap at Blackstar. Deep amber brown pour. Spicy malty aroma. Taste is similar - doesn't taste like an old fashioned but does have similar spicy, sweet, and woody characteristics. Very smooth with fine carbonation. Not a bad beer.
