For this stout, we used loads of creamy oats and dark chocolate nibs the mash tun, and then aged it on coca nibs in the fermenter. The result is a beer with all the richness of an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie without the sweetness.

Brewed with: Crystal Clear North Shore Water, British Malts, North American Hops, Yeast

On tap at Wildeye, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is bizarre, with a burnt character permeating this, with a touch of oats and a hint of burnt earthy cocoa. Flavour is muddled, murky and somewhat burnt, with none of the elements well-expressed. This is very poor. What the hell were they thinking putting something like this out? Crap.

On tap. Pours a muddy black with light tan head. Aromas of roasted malts and black coffee. Flavors of same, primarily roasted malts with only a little bitter chocolate. Was expecting something a bit bigger and sweeter based on the name. Basic dry stout.

Soft sweet barley on the nose, has muddy brown body with little foam. Flavour is okay sweet oatmeal and barley. Mouthfeel is a little watery, modest carbonation. Okay but needs work.
