On tap at Ile Sauvage, pours an opaque, muddy yellow with a small white head. Nose has a nice mixed culture character, with lots of bugs, some tart citrus, and rustic notes. Flavour is buggy and tart, expressing a very nice mixed culture, a little tart citrus, and subdued rustic character. The Nelson contributes subtle white wine character in its classic way. The bugs really make this nice, contributing solid depth. I can't detect the plums, but I don't care — this is great.

Nice sweet hops on the nose, has good yellow body with modest foam. Flavour is sweet bitterness, soft lemon, salt. A little watery on the mouth. Well done though, a traditional approach.
