Smells of nice fruit funk with red wine and sangria notes, has great pink foam and deep purple body. Flavour is bitter fruit, some sweetness, lots of tannins. Mouthfeel is crisp and dry, plenty of skin. A great fruit beer, balanced and refreshing.

Can. Rich purple colour with a light purple head. The berry character is quite rich on this one. Light tartness. No malt base, but a whack of fruit. Big berry character, and it's not half bad, bit jammy. Just needs a bit more malt to hold it up.

Draught at Parallel 49, Vancouver
Dark red colour, hazy. Nice aroma of sour berries. Dry mouthfeel, strong acidity, some berry flavour, but not juicy, the lack of sweetness doesn't help in berry beers, at least it doesn't have any of those berry (especially raspberry) tannins.
Ok Sour.

On tap at Parallel 49, pours a cloudy ruby red with a medium bright pink head. Aroma brings out tons of thorny, pithy berries, with little else discernible. Flavour is very pithy, with lots of thorny berries, with a bit of bathroom cleaner, and yeast. Pithy, yeasty and cleaner-like. Not too impressed.
