The pure Alsatian character, a blend of smoothness and French sophistication with a strong German charisma. Its taste is initially bitter with a refreshingly smooth aftertaste

22/11 0.33 l bottle from some store in Barcelona. It poured clear golden body with medium sized head. Hay, grainy, somewhat dusty aroma. Flavor was moderately sweet, somewhat grainy, also bitter herbal with touch of metal towards the end. Medium body. Sweet honey finish. Not bad for a macro pale lager, but had many better, also surely not worth the price of commoner micros around supermarkets.

Bottle. A clear, pale golden beer topped by a small, off-white head. The aroma is grainy and fruity, with some dms and hints of cellar and wet cardboard. Not all bad, but really dull. The same can be said about the flavor, which has some light sourish maltyness, but it’s mostly on the fruity side. Medium body. Not much bitterness going on, neither initially nor in the finish. The bottle looks quite good, else this is a really boring and uninteresting beer. 120302
