How complex can a SMaSH beer get? This collaboration with Land & Sea Brewing (Comox, BC) was brewed with a Single Malt from Best Malz called Red-X, and a Single Hop variety called Belma, making it a SMaSH style. We then fermented with Fruity Voss Kveik Norwegian Farmhouse, dry-hopped with more Belma, and conditioned with Strawberry Puree. The result is a boldly-fruity Red Ale with layers of complexity never-before-experienced in a SMaSH beer.

Soft brown body and little foam, malt and fake strawberry on the nose. Flavour is a nicely balanced semi fresh strawberry and sweet biscuity malt. Only comes across as slightly fake, and more balanced than usual in this part of the world for a brew like this.
