Brownish blackish body and little foam, very soft barley aroma. Flavour is nice roasted barley, slight spice, full mouthfeel. Okay, a bit above average but not much.

On nitro tap at Coronado, pours black with a small creamy beige head. Aroma brings out lots of smoke, dry cocoa and some oats. Flavour is loaded with tobacco, some smoke, and dry oats. The tobacco character doesn't really work too well here. Not unpleasant, but it doesn't hit the right notes for me.

Keg at the taproom, Coronado Island, 13/11/14. Light black with a decent tan head that retains well. Nose is earthy roast, mineral notes, metallic nip, cardboard, light cocoa. Taste comprises sweeter tones, chcocolate, mineral notes, toffee. Medium bodied, smooth on the palate, roasted close. Ok simple stout.
