With this spicy take on our original Gose, expect wonderfully balanced mango and jalapeño notes throughout with a bit of lime to bring it all together. After just a sip, you’ll be left with just a hint of heat lingering on the back of your tongue.

On tap at Barley Merchant, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma has gentle jalapeños, a touch of mango, and salty citric acid. Flavour is salty and spicy, with plenty of jalapeño pepper, plenty of salt, lacto, and citrus. Finished spicy, acidic and salty. Not egregious but this doesn’t work as is.

Can. Pale mud. No head. Looks ugly. The aroma is full of jalapeno, and with a bit of mango. This tastes like canned jalapeno, maybe a hint of fruit. Fairly full body for a beer this size. So tart, touch of salt, and canned jalapenos.

Nice fresh spicy jalapeño on the nose, vegetably, but the mango doesn't come through. Has a yellow body with no foam. Flavour is a surprisingly balanced jalapeño with soft mango notes, light salt. Crisp on the mouth. Very good jalapeño balance here, worth trying.
