On cask at Main Street, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma reveals lots of earthy notes from the rye, with gentle fruitiness, and some dry cocoa. Flavour is dry and bitter, with dry cocoa, lots of earthy notes, and a little spicy rye. Earthy, dry, somewhat bitter finish. It's rather harsh, but still pleasant.

Dark but slightly clear brown body and foamy light beige head. Soft dark barley on the nose. Flavour is very mild chewy barley, okay character. Good mouthfeel. Not bad at all for a low alcohol mild ale in these parts.

Cask at the brewery
Dark brown colour with compact head. I had great expectations for this ambitious 2.8% project, but the aroma has some coffee, the flavour is lightly sour (the rye?), and there is a light trace of liquorice in the finish; light fruity esters too.
I didn't like this much, but it has some potential, with some adjustments.
