Traditionally, scrumpy is fermented from apples stolen or “scrumped” from farmers’ fields. Derived from an unruly blend of apples, scrumpy is a uniquely flavourful cider, high in alcohol, and typically made and consumed by the working class.

Aged for over a year, with apples like Hyslop Crab, Ben Davis, Greenling, King Of Tomkins County, Golden Russet, and Bramley’s Seedling, our Scrumpy is a motley blend, but made with care. This cider offers a heavy, fruity nose, plenty of tannins, a good strong acidity, and is made from apples that are free of pesticides and chemical fertilizers.

Bottle sampled at BC Cider Fest 2023, pours a hazy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out gentle funk, some earthiness and gentle acidity. Flavour is pretty much bone dry, with apple core, light wild character and some earthiness. Falls a bit flat but is well-attenuated and has some decent earthy funk.

Smells of soft apple with some sweetness. Has a mellow yellow body with no head. Flavour is a mixed and muddy boozy affair of apples. Mouthfeel is crisp enough. It's a bit messy and not really in the right ways.
