A delightfully smooth dark mild ale, this beer is based on John Mitchell’s 20th brew in 1984, brewed with English 2 row pale malt along with crystal & chocolate barly malts balanced with restrained pitchings of cascades and tettenager hops.

The aroma is soft laminated floorboard from 1893 - you know the kind, the old schoolhouse wood varnish that poisoned kids for generations. Well here it is in all its glory. Has a brown body with no head. Flavour is a very mild malt, soft chewy dark bread notes. Mouthfeel is full enough. This is not a bad attempt at a mild ale though not a great one. By the way I just love how this beer gets rated every 10 years...
