East Coast vs West Coast IPA hybrid. Dark amber in colour. Big full malt body just balances the intense bitterness. Complex, intense but playful hop aroma and flavour includes juicy tropical fruit, pine, resin and citrus. A beer for the adventurous but not for the faint-hearted.

A golden ipa with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with balanced resinous hops, light mineral notes, light treacle, pleasant. In mouth, a nice mix of biscuit malt, resinous funky hops, light mineral notes, nice and hoppy. On tap at brewery. 7-3-3-7-13

On tap at Heart of Darkness, pours a hazy golden with a medium off-white head. Aroma brings out caramel malt sweetness, piney and resinous hops, and bready notes. Flavour is cloyingly sweet, with lots of caramel malt, candied sugar and subdued resinous hops. Way too sweet and sugary. You gotta dial back the malt and sweetness. Not so good.

Tap at the HCMC brewpub. Poured a hazy light amber with a thin broken white head and some broken lace. The aroma is malt, sweet tropical fruit hop. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a smooth crisp, orange citrus fruit, light pepper spice palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Fresh, fruity and nicely balanced.
