This American style rye IPA brewed with Juniper berries has a bright citrus and mango aroma and a refreshing piney avor. Combining the juniper avor with a dry hop of Simcoe and Chinook hops results in a beautiful balance of juicy fruit and resinous pine notes.

Nice foam and semi foggy orange brown body. Deep hops and soft juniper on the nose with vague rye hints. Flavour is soft hops with pine hints and mellow rye grain. Medium finish, not too crisp. Quite nice in fact, not mind blowing but well made.

Pretty good ipa, fairly cleanly made. I think it's rating in here have it underrated. I'm not a huge ipa fan, but it's good.

Bottle thanks to Kurt and Erin! Pours a clear hazy pale golden orange with a fluffy white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has notes of juniper and rye with an earthy grain backbone. Flavor has sweet grains and light juniper with some rye towards the finish.

Draught at Rogue Kitchen & Wetbar (W. Broadway), Vancouver
Cloudy blond color. Very mild aroma of citrus fruits. Dry mouthfeel, simple malt profile, strong bitterness, a bit resiny, maybe the juniper contribute s too, a bit woody/vegetable in the final.
Uneventful.

On tap at Howe Sound, pours a cloudy yellow with a medium white head. Aroma brings out notes of spicy rye, citrus hops and biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with citrus hops, spicy rye, and some fruitiness. Well-balanced, crusty and spicy. Maybe a touch harsh, but it works. Good.

Bottle from Legacy. Very muddy light brown. Way too muddy for a bottled product, in particular, and not the norm for this brewery. Bubbly head is nice. The aroma shows off some duller oxidized chinook, some lemony, grapefruity brighter hops, some light rye, and a LOT of yeast. Thankfully, there’s still some brightness in the aroma to latch on to. On the palate, it’s fairly bitter, with grapefruity notes. The malts are obfuscated by the yeast. It’s a touch fizzy on the mouthfeel, and comes across a bit light for an IPA as a result. But then again, it’s not really IPA strength, either.. There’s some rye chewiness and combines with Chinook richness at the back, and thankfully the grapefruit and juniper notes parry all that chewy stuff just enough. I can definitely see this is a good idea, but more filtration would leave this a more refined product with a sharper balance on the palate.
