On tap at the brewery. Aroma is sweet barley with heavy molasses. Has little foam on a darker brown black body. Flavour is harsh wood sweetness with vague whisky notes drowning out the stout. Full enough on the mouth. This is unbalanced, a lot of things going on here that could be worked together much better than they are.

On nitro tap at St. Augustine's, pours a deep dark brown with a reddish tinge and a small tan head. Aroma brings out some harsh whiskey barrels upfront, with moderate toasted malt. Flavour is similar, with the whiskey barrels coming out in a somewhat abrasive and monolithic way. Not particularly complex or well-constructed, but it's okay.

Poured from the tap at St Aug’s. Black with off white head. Sweet chocolate, mild vanilla, a little bit of whiskey, hint of licorice, creamy texture, alcohol is there, but not overpowering, medium body. There are many better options in this style, but you still really wouldn’t be going wrong with it either. Decent.
